A native of Long Island, Chris has over 30 years of deep and varied experience in the world of teaching and learning. His professional interests include instructional design; fluency and rate-based instruction; stimulus discrimination technologies; stimulus overselectivity; language development and verbal behavior; behavioral skills training; eye-tracking technology for assessing and treating deficits in attention, focus and socialization. A recent project in teaching & learning entails civics education- mycandidatescorecard.org is a tool that allows voters to rate attributes of candidates seeking election to public office.
Chris received his BA in Philosophy and Religion from Boston University, his MA Special Education/Behavior Disorders from Teachers College, Columbia University, and his Ph.D. in Behavior Analysis from the Graduate School of Arts & Sciences at Columbia University. He is NYS Certified as a Special Education Teacher, School Administrator/Supervisor, and School District Administrator. He is a NYS Licensed Behavior Analyst and a Nationally Board Certified Behavior Analyst at the Doctoral Level.
